Last Post of Vacation

These sunset pictures look like they belong in a travel magazine....sigh...can I go back now?

The lodge

Sitting on the dock
I wish I could have a delicious hot breakfast waiting for me when I wake up everyday...that was the life!

THE BIG DAY!

Setting Up

Cocktail hour: oysters, shrimp, bruschetta, fruit, cheese, crackers
...and we still had dinner to come!

Dinner

And we can't forget the beautiful couple! Congratulations Carolyn and Tyler, we love you!

Texas

As part of our wedding gift to them Richard happened to come across a lightweight concrete model of Texas, needless to say Tyler was in love.

Rehearsal Dinner

For dinner we had steak, baked beans (sooo good), grilled corn and bread. With a dessert of three different kinds of cobbler and home made ice cream. If it seems like all we did was eat delicious food all weekend that is because it was a big part of it and the food was AMAZING. A pregnant woman's dream! :)

Friday Morning and Afternoon

Richard went fishing with Paul, Austin, and Tyler.

I went on a Safari of the wild animals...seriously...they have wildabeast and zebras.

Then a large group of us went skeet shooting. It was really fun!

Richard celebrating after he hit a skeet.

Thursday

On Thursday we caravaned down to the ranch and got there at about 3:00.

Paul and Jess got there at about 5:00 and then we were able to open our envelope (FINALLY!!!).

In the evening we had a delicious dinner of country fried chicken and then we had s'mores and enjoyed the hot tub and a relaxing evening.

Wonderful Weekend

Last weekend we were lucky enough to fly down to Texas and spend a few days with Richard's family and enjoy all of Carolyn's wedding festivities. The next few posts will be about that...there is way too much information and too many pictures to be justly described in one post. We got to Austin late late late Wednesday night and Thursday morning we drove down to Falcon Point Ranch in Seadrift, right on the Gulf of Mexico...BEAUTIFUL! We all got to stay in the Lodge and enjoy fresh and DELICIOUS meals prepared by the professional chef...you should be impressed that we were willing to go back home on Sunday...

New Shelf

We got a new TV and entertainment center (which I LOVE) about 2 months ago and since that same time we have had a wooden shelf from IKEA sitting in our office waiting to be painted and put together. We finally got around to the project and we are very happy with the result!
