40 Weeks

Trying to be Patient...

My due date has now come and gone and I had to remove the blog widget counting down my pregnancy because today it told me that my baby is one day old...but he is not...

We are so so so anxious to meet our sweet little baby. On Sunday Richard told me that he is sick of waiting and can't wait to hold buddy (our nickname for the baby). It is so fun seeing how excited Richard is, we ordered a Primary Children's Songbook because Richard wants to play the guitar for our sweet boy.

I am trying my best to be patient, but it is much easier said than done. I know that he will make his grand entrance when he is ready and until then I just need to do my best to keep myself distracted. And if he comes when I think he will (October 4th) then I still have a week until I get to meet our baby. As cool as it would be if I predicted his birthday correctly I can't help but hope that I am wrong and that he will come before next Tuesday.

Well, I am still feeling great, this last part of pregnancy has been a breeze for me. I've had zero contractions and no dilation so we will just continue to wait...

Richard's mom gets into Austin tonight and will be up here in Dallas on Saturday. We are very excited. And then my mom gets here two weeks from tomorrow! We are so excited to have our mom's come and help us figure out the baby thing.

Hopefully by this time next week I will have a baby in my arms!!!!!!

Bowling

I am feeling the need to go out and spend as much time together as possible before our sweet boy makes his appearance. So yesterday we went bowling at a place that has unlimited bowling for $5/person, it was really fun! We got 6 games in and by the end my already numb/achy hand was hurting, but oh well, it hurts regardless. :)

My belly is definitely not the size of a bowling ball anymore...

38 Weeks!!!!!!!!!

Remember when I looked like this and thought I had a belly....

You know it is almost time for the baby to come when you are constantly pulling your MATERNITY shirts down to cover your belly...

I keep thinking that I don't look 37 weeks pregnant...and then I walk by a mirror.

QUILT!!!

In our Seattle ward there is a quilt lady that makes a quilt for every new baby in the ward (in that ward it keeps her VERY busy). It is so awesome and the quilts are always so cute! I was a little sad about moving from Seattle before the baby was born because I didn't think we would get one, but Richard being the wonderful husband that he is secretly let the Relief Society presidency know we would be leaving quickly and they were wonderful enough to get this quilt for me!

The secret is out...here is the name block on our sweet baby boy's quilt.
