Poor Sick Baby

This is what my poor little bug does when he is feeling miserable.  It completely broke my heart to see how sick he felt (threw up 6 times in 3 hours).  :(  But I would be lying if I didn't say that I was loving all the cuddle time!

That was yesterday, today he is on the mend.  I can tell it is recovery day as he fell asleep on the couch at 11am (he usually naps around noon and sleeps only in his crib).  He slept for 1.5 hours.  Played for a bit, then fell asleep on me again around 3:45.  He then woke up and threw up.  :(  On the mend...by no means completely better.

I think recovery day is harder than the actual day of being sick.  Yesterday he was just content to cuddle all day.  Today he wanted to play, but didn't really feel good, so he was much crankier.  But at least things weren't as messy...

Touchdown

This is what happens with Soren hears the word "touchdown."  EVERY TIME.  That's my boy!

Friends

Our friends Cassandra, Emerson and Lily came from Tyler, TX to spend the weekend with us and we had a blast.  We played games on Friday night while the babes slept.  Then on Saturday we took turns watching the kids and going to the temple.  It was a very fun weekend.

Puppy Love

Austin

We enjoyed the rest of the week in Austin by being outside and just relaxing.  On Saturday we went and walked around Lady Bird Lake.

We had a little bit of Christmas early.

And Soren went and explored UT campus with dad and Grandpa Jeff.

Thanksgiving Day

We went down to Austin for Thanksgiving to spend the week with Richard's family.  His parents just moved there in September, his sister and her husband live there.  His brother lives in Dallas, but he also made the drive down to be there.  It is family tradition to go on a hike the morning of Thanksgiving, I however opted to stay home and help cook (if you know me at all, you know that I HATE hiking).  So in the morning the boys set off on their hike while the girls cooked up a storm.  I actually had a lot of fun with the preparations, I really enjoy cooking.

The food was amazing, I do love Thanksgiving.  My mouth had been salivating for Thanksgiving dinner for weeks and it lived up to the anticipation.  Soren was sleeping while we ate so he enjoyed the leftovers.  His favorite was the stuffing, he could not get enough. He also enjoyed the sweet potatoes and the banana cream pie.  :)
