Papa's Birthday

My dad flew in last night (his birthday) and so today we got to celebrate his birthday with some yummy steak and a delicious banana cream pie.  Soren was very excited to help him blow out the candles.

Happy Birthday, dad!  So glad we got to celebrate with you!

Trick or Treat #1

Our city has a little trick or treating event downtown where all the businesses have candy for the kids.  We went down and enjoyed the morning with some friends and then we all went to lunch.  After lunch, there were a few crafts for the kids to do.

New Closet

We decided early on in pregnancy that the two kids were going to share a room (regardless of whether baby was a boy or girl).  And my first concern was the closet, the room is plenty big for their to be two kids in there, but the closet is a different story.  It is big enough for two kids worth of stuff, but most of the space was just unusable and not easily accessed so I started doing some research and asked Richard if we could do something about this.  So this past weekend his dad came up and they gave me my dream closet in the boys room.  It was a lot of work, but I am absolutely in love with how it turned out!

Helper

Soren loves to be a helper, he always wants to see what people are doing and help. I learned a long time ago that it is much easier to find a way to let him help than it is to try and keep him out of the way.  Don't worry...operating the saw is not one of the ways we let him help.

Soren Copter

Soren and Radley love playing with "Soren's copter" when daddy gets home from work.  Soren actually took all of these pictures.

Garbage Truck

While we were outside playing baseball one afternoon the garbage truck came by.  The garbage man saw Soren, got out and gave him a foam toy garbage truck.  Soren loves it, he is really into trucks, trains, planes, etc.

Hit It

Soren has recently discovered his love for baseball.  The weather has been gorgeous and he asks every day to go outside and "hit it" or "catch it."
