Family Pictures 2012
Saturday was GORGEOUS and Richard's brother had a bunch of free tickets to the arboretum, so we took advantage and went to have family pictures taken. Here are some of our favorites.
We also took Soren's Halloween costume so we could get some pics of him in it.

Party
We had Soren's first birthday party on Saturday and I am very pleased with how it turned out. It was simple, but cute and fun. I must say, after putting his party together, I don't know how people pull off these crazy extravagant parties, I was running errands and getting stuff ready all week as it was. We did a "wish upon a star" theme and I was very happy with it. Thanks to all of our awesome family who made the trip out for it!

We Have a Walker
We don't have it on video yet because it still is not his main form of transportation, but I would say that Soren can officially walk. He can only really do it when he stabilizes himself at the couch, if you try and stand him up and get him to walk to something or somebody he gets too excited and can't stand still long enough to get stable. But starting from the couch he is golden. :)

When Grandpa Comes to Town
My dad came to visit for a week in September and it was so much fun. We relaxed a little and played a lot. Here is our week in pictures. :)
Couldn't have dad come to town and not see what Friday Night Lights is all about.
We went to a game at Allen High School. It was RIDICULOUS! They just built a 60 million dollar stadium. They have over 4000 students, 85 on the football team, over 900 in the marching band. It is craziness. Seriously worth going to though...seriously.
We went to an indoor play place at a local church. I had heard a lot of good things about it, but we hadn't been, so we decided to go while grandpa was here. Soren loved it.
We get to play the driving game while we wait for our table at Red Robin.
We went to the Indoor Safari Park, Soren liked it a lot, but he enjoyed the other play place just as much and it was free. This one cost $5, not much, but when he likes the free one just as much...
We went and watched the Rangers beat the A's with a walkoff single in the 9th inning. It was a fun game, Soren was a champ, as always, even though it was way past his bedtime.
Thanks for coming, dad! The door is always open, we miss having you here!
