Cancun Day Four

Today was wonderful.  We slept until about 9/9:30 again.  Had a delicious breakfast at the buffet then headed out to lounge oceanside.
At 12:30 we went snorkeling and it was awesome.  So much fun, we are so glad that we did that.  We were gone for about 1-1.5 hours. When we got back we ate some lunch then headed back to lounge oceanside some more.  
We spent the afternoon lounging and swimming, it was the perfect last day.  Nice and relaxing, just the way we wanted it.


For dinner we went Mexican again because it was so good last night.  We enjoyed tacos, tostadas, chips and guac, it was amazing.  There was a couple behind us that also told the waiter that they don't drink alcohol.  I had seen the husband walking around in a Weber State basketball shirt the day before so I assumed they were mormon.  I turned around and talked to them for a minute.  Yep, mormon.  Nice to know we weren't the only ones on the resort not drinking.  :)
After dinner we enjoyed the resort some more and took more pictures.

Our flight leaves tomorrow at about 10am, the shuttle will pick us up at 7:30.

Cancun Day Three

Today I discovered that I have 31 mosquito bites on my right leg and 7 on my left leg!  UGH!  Guess how many Richard has...ZERO!!!!

We had a great day today, we slept until 9:15 so Richard woke up feeling much better.  Then we went to lunch before heading to the pool for the day.  Richard went sailing while I went and rested in the room for a bit.  Then we went back out to the beach to relax and read.  Then we went back to our room to get ready for dinner.  We went to the Mexican place tonight and it was SOOO good!  Best food we have had so far (makes sense, right?).  They brought out welcome margaritas to all the diners, we told them no alcohol and they made us some virgin drinks, they were SO GOOD! Richard kept making fun of me for taking pictures of all the food, but come on, we all know that is the most important part of an all inclusive resort!

Then we walked around and took some pictures.  Tonight the resort show was a Mayan show poolside, it was very cool.

Cancun Day Two

Another successful day in Riviera Maya!  We got up at about 7:30 and went to eat a quick breakfast at the buffet (they have a make your own omelet bar -- it's amazing!) before catching our bus to Xplor at 8:30.  

We got to the park around 9:30 (it was only like 30 minutes away, but we had to stop at other resorts to pick people up).  There were a ton of people there and a long line, but it moved very fast.  We got our locker key and hard hat helmets that we had to wear the whole time.

First we went and did river rafts, that was pretty fun.  Our next stop was the river swim, that was awesome!  We really liked that part!  Then we headed to the zip lines, which is what I had been really looking forward to.  I have now ziplined through the jungle!  It was so cool!  They had two zip line courses.  Each one had about 7 ziplines.  One of them had a water slide and three of the zip lines landed in the water.  It was so fun.  Doing all of the zip lines took us about 2 hours.  Then we headed to get lunch at the buffet (everything was included in our admission).  It was okay, the food at the hotel is much better!  After lunch we went and did the ATV course and then we still had some time left so we went and did the river swim again.  

Throughout the park they had cameras and each helmet had a number on it so you could see all of your pictures at the end.  You could buy individual prints or you could just buy a USB drive with all of your pictures on it, that is what we did!  It was the only way we could get all the great pics since our camera would have gotten soaked and therefore broken.  :)

We got back to the hotel at about 5:45 got cleaned up and ate dinner at the Japanese restaurant.  It was okay, i think the buffets are much better.  We are very tired and looking forward to going to bed early and sleeping in!  Richard isn't feeling to great, we are thinking he has just done a little too much and he got sunburned a little yesterday so may be a little down from that.  Hopefully a good night sleep and a lazy day at the resort tomorrow will help him feel better!

Cancun Day One

Our flight got in about 9:35, just as scheduled and we got through all the customs smoothly got straight to our shuttle and got to the resort at about 11.  We couldn't get into our room until 3 so we just explored the resort and put our feet in the water.  It was all wonderful. It is quite humid here so walking around was hot and sticky, but once we could get our swim suits on and swim it was AMAZING!  Perfect weather.  So we spent the afternoon in the pool then headed to dinner.

The food is great!  Throughout the day waiting for our room and hanging out at the pool we could just get out and grab a snack or drink whenever you want.  They even walk around getting your drink orders while you are lounging and in the pool.   The juice bar is heavenly.  It is awesome, even better than I imagined!  :)

For dinner we went to the buffet.  I mostly ate guac and pico with tortilla chips.  It was so yummy!  They have shows every night so the first night we thought we would go check that out.  The show was a local break dancing group, it was pretty good.

Happy Father's Day!

First, to my amazing dad.  I love him so much.  I am lucky to have such a great relationship with my dad, being the only child for the first five years of my life definitely has it's advantages!  I had several years to be spoiled with all of the attention.  Scooter rides, sporting events and his undivided attention.

Love my dad so much, he is amazing dad and an awesome grandpa!  Soren loves him so much, he gets spoiled with so much love and attention whenever grandpa is around.  Grandpa is always happy to take him outside to play and let him do anything he wants (within reason of course).  I love watching Soren and my dad interact, it is a wonderful thing to see how blessed my son has been with such wonderful grandparents.

And of course to my handsome husband.  He is such an amazing dad and it melts my heart whenever I get to see him and Soren interact.  Soren loves his daddy so much and loves to be with him as soon as he walks in the door from work.  My love has only grown for Richard as I have seen him become 100% committed to the happiness and well being of our little family.  Soren is a very lucky little boy to have the wonderful dad that he does!
