Getting to Utah

Our flight to Utah was scheduled to leave at 6am.  We always take the early morning flight because it is nonstop and we can just drag the boys out of bed, go and we don't get there too late to enjoy the day.  We always fly out of the same airport and it is NEVER busy, we have flown out of there for Christmas several times and never even stand in line, until today of course...with 3 children in tow and way too many bags we missed our flight.  We were still in the checkin line when our flight left.  Everybody around us was missing their flight, it was crazy.  So they put us on standby for an 8am flight to Phoenix.  We were resigned to the fact that it might be a very long day.  We made the first flight to Phoenix just great.  The trick was going to be getting from there to Salt Lake as there weren't many seats available on the 11am flight.  We were on the standby list and praying that we'd get on. But we needed three tickets and we knew it would be tricky.  I guess all of our praying paid off because we got on.  All in all we ended up being very lucky and only arrived in Salt Lake a few hours later than planned, it could have been much much worse.

How we all felt after a very early morning and long hours on the plane.

Christmas Program

Soren had his preschool Christmas party and program, it was so fun to see all the hard work that they have put in, he has been singing me his songs all month.

One Month

Wells is such a sweet and cuddly baby.  We are still working on napping and sleeping well at night, but other than that things are going great!  The boys love him so much and always want to hold him.  We are so happy to have him in our family.

Brothers and Friends

I just love watching Soren and Beckett together.  Beckett wants to do everything that Soren does and Soren is happy to let him follow along (most of the time).  Beckett anxiously waits for it to be time to pick Soren up from school, he misses his buddy when he is gone.

Christmas Fun

Friday night the boys got to see Santa at our church Christmas party, Beckett wasn't afraid, but he definitely wasn't taking his eyes off of the strange man.  Soren told Santa that he wants "Chase and Rubble because then he will have all the pups."

On Saturday morning we headed to a local mall to see their train display that they have during Christmas.  I hear about it every year, but we have never been.  We went and made a day of it, the boys loved the trains, as we knew they would.  And then we ate lunch at the mall which is always a hit, everybody can get just what they want.  It was a really nice morning out with the family.

All By Myself

All by myself!  But not really...me and three little boys from morning til daddy gets home!  And we even all survived.  Our days for those first few weeks really went smoothly.  We had our moments of tears, but the big boys love Wells so much and are so helpful and always want to hold him and help.  Soren went back to his routine of preschool and speech while the rest of us took it easy at home while I continued to recover and figure out how to balance it all.  We had lots of delicious dinners brought to us which was a lifesaver, so nice and helpful not to have to worry about that at the end of the day.

These three boys melt my heart!
