I am sitting here watching Soren play with his toys on the floor. And as I look at his forehead, which currently has two small bruises on it, I realize...we have reached that time. That time when he will probably constantly have bumps, bruises and scratches. He is so busy and always exploring. I think it is inevitable...he is all boy. A boy that doesn't mind getting a bump on his head as long as it means he found what he was looking for or accomplished the task at hand.

Hair Cut
It was time...it took me about 2 weeks to come to terms with the fact that Soren needed a haircut, and yes, there were tears shed over this realization. I knew that as soon as we cut his hair he would look much more like a little boy than a baby and I wasn't sure I was ready for that. But after prepping myself for two weeks we finally did it.

Safari in Texas
Our anniversary is coming up soon and we decided to celebrate this weekend because we have other things going on when we would normally celebrate. We took Soren along with us and had a great time.
Soren loves animals so we started the day by going up to a little ranch about 40 minutes north of us. They had lemurs and kangaroos and then we got to go on a little safari and see all sorts of different animals. Soren provided a lot of entertainment for all of the safari goers as he fearlessly petted the animals and laughed as he did so.
Petting the lemur
Joey's getting their bottle
Waiting for the safari to start
Petting the horse (it's a good thing daddy likes animals so mom can just take pictures)
Petting the camel
Riding on the barrel train with dad
After the ranch we went to lunch at a little cafe, it was delicious. After lunch we went and go frozen custard for dessert.
Then we went home just long enough to change into our swimsuits then we were off to the pool.
Soren is such a good little boy, he never slows us down. We left the house at 11:30am and didn't get home for good until 6pm. He didn't slow us down one bit, he was just happy to be out and napped in his car and the way to and from the ranch.
It was a fantastic day, I love our little family!
