He is 4!

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN????????

We celebrated as much as we could, he got to enjoy his favorite meal of pancakes for breakfast.  We went and met Richard and Rachelle for lunch at Schlotsky's yum.  Soren was being a bit cranky and not eating much which was strange.  I soon found out why.  He took a long nap and woke up saying that he did not feel well.  We were planning to go bowling, but he was not up to it.  He was very upset that we didn't get to go so we went and got a movie and had a relaxing evening at home instead.  He opened his presents and loved them all, but we saved his cookie for another day. 

Soren brings so much joy into our lives.  He is funny, sweet, caring and energetic.  He keeps us on our toes and always has us laughing.  He is the best big brother and always helps take care of his brother.  He loves to play with Beckett and teach him new things.  He is always excited to learn new things and help people around him.

Wedding #1

Richard's coworker got married the first weekend of October.  We attended the formal reception that evening.  It was a traditional sitdown Viatnamese meal.  We were seated at a table with Richard's coworkers.  It was a great evening getting to know some of them better.

Pumpkin Patch

Each year we are able to go to a local pumpkin patch with our early childhood PTA group.  It is a lot of fun, they have a little maze the kids can do.  And we get to go on a hay ride where each kid gets to pick out their own pumpkin.  Soren always loves this event.

Soren's 4th Birthday Party

Tonight we had Soren's 4th birthday party, he chose a construction theme and it was a hit!  Each kid got their own tool apron and hard hat, they loved it.  Soren decided that he wanted to decorate cupcakes at his party so we had a "build a cupcake" zone.  Then we had a "work zone" with boxes for them to build and of course knock over.  :)

He had such a great time sharing his birthday with so many friends!

September Phone Dump

9 Months

At 9 months, Beckett:

-20 lbs 10 oz (75th percentile)

-28 inches long (50th percentile)

-Wakes up once at night to eat

-Takes 1-2 naps a day depending on our schedule

-Has 3 teeth with several more coming in

-Cruises along the furniture like a pro

-Loves to play with and feed his pup

-Laughs and smiles with his brother all day long

-Hates being put in his carseat

-Puts EVERYTHING in his mouth

-Traveled to Florida and enjoyed the beach

-Loves to eat:  soup, cucumbers, smoothies, apples, zucchini, stir fry, chicken.

-Does not like bananas

-Loves to drink water

-Struggling with separation anxiety

Soren Sews

Soren often asks me if he can sew and up until this point I have always said no.  But today I thought it would be fun if he got to push the pedal so he made his very first bean bag.  :)
